The pressure standard of fire hose test pressure is usually 1.5 times the working pressure.

The pressure standard of fire hose test pressure is usually 1.5 times the working pressure.
Fire hose test pressure standard is mainly based on the working pressure to determine, specifically:
When the system design working pressure is equal to or less than 1.0MPa, the hydraulic strength test pressure should be 1.5 times the design working pressure, and should not be less than 1.4MPa.
When the system design working pressure is greater than 1.0MPa, the hydraulic strength test pressure shall be the working pressure plus 0.4MPa.
In the hydraulic strength test, the test point should be located at the lowest point of the system pipe network. During the test, the air in the pipe network should be exhausted and the pressure should be slowly increased. After reaching the test pressure, the pressure is stabilized for 30 minutes, the pipe network should be free of leakage and deformation, and the pressure drop should not be more than 0.05MPa.
Hydraulic tightness test should be carried out after the hydraulic strength test and pipe network flushing. Test pressure for the design working pressure, stabilized pressure for 24 hours, the pipe network should be no leakage.
These standards are intended to ensure that the fire fighting hose system can provide sufficient pressure and flow to meet the needs of fire fighting and rescue in an emergency. In practice, consideration should also be given to factors such as the height of the building, the concentration of people, and specific engineering design requirements to ensure safety and effectiveness
